The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan class action lawsuit was founded based on claims that BCBSM violated federal and state antitrust laws and inflated prices for medical care at certain Michigan hospitals through loop holes in certain contracts with local Michigan General Acute Care Hospitals.  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan stand by their claim of no wrong doing but have agreed to settle.  The case was heard in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

BCBSM Lawsuit Talking Points

  • Class members are defined as anyone who paid for medical services between January 1, 2006 to June 23, 2014 at any Michigan Hospital
