Class members in the Optical Disk Anti Trust lawsuit claim that certain electronics companies conspired to fix the prices of optical disk drives (i.e. DVDs, CDs and other computer software storage).  The companies that are listed in the lawsuit are as follows: Sony, Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Panasonic Corp., and NEC Corp.  These electronic companies denies all actions of wrong doing in the case nut have agreed to settle in order to avoid a long trial with uncertain expenses.  In July of 2016 a Judge in the United States District Court, Northern District of California approved the settlement for $124.5 million.  Class members in the Optical Disk Drive Anti Trust lawsuit include residents of Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin who purchased a disk drive manufactured by one or more of the defendants or their alleged coconspirators between the time frame of April 2003 through December 2008.  Please note Panasonic-brand computers are not covered in this class action lawsuit.
