Online banking is the most widely used online service provided by Suncoast FCU. To use the online banking service you must be a member and have access to the Internet. Suncoast has over 520,000 members at over 50 operating branches. The credit union was founded in 1934 as the Hillsborough County Teachers Credit Union to help meet the unfilled needs of working teachers in the county. In 1953 the credit union decided to add the counties of Citrus, DeSoto, Hardee, Hernando, and Pasco. It was not until 1975 that the credit union officially changed their name to the Suncoast Schools Credit Union as it is known today.
