TomTom Get Started
- Allows a user to register their TomTom device, obtain free support software and connect to keep the device up to date with the latest add ons and maps

At the end of registertration TomTom will send a coupon voucher that can be used at any TomTom shop online. MyDrive Connect allows a customer’s device to communicate with the MyDrive website and works with the Windows 8, Windows 7 & Vista, Windows XP and the Mac OS X operating systems.
Benefits of Registering
- Provides the latest up to date maps: Maps and roadways are ever-changing, with registration the customer will receive the latest updates to the road network, addresses and Points of Interest.
- Speed camera alert detection: Provides timely warnings in regards to the latest speed camera locations. The locations will show up on the TomTom device
- Up-to-date software: After installation, the free computer software will provide updates when available.

If the customer is unsure of the device in questions please provide the first 2 characters of the serial number. The serial number for most TomTom devices can be found on the bottom of the device next to the bar code. TomTom also provides a Content Transfer Assistant program that allows the customer to transfer old items from one TomTom device to a new one. This TomTom transfer service is available for both the Mac and Windows.
Other Notes
- Changing the language on a TomTom navigation device is not universal for all devices (please see the TomTom instructional manual for more information)
- Community voices can be removed and there are a variety of ways to customize the device through voices, warning sounds, start-up and shut-down images
